ICC YAAF: Navigating Complex Disputes - The effectiveness of Arbitration
Join us online and in Port Harcourt for dynamic discussions centered on the evolving role of arbitration in the resolution of complex disputes.
Objectives
As global industries continue to encounter increasingly sophisticated legal challenges, arbitration has emerged as a tailored, flexible and highly effective solution; however, navigating complex disputes demands not only the right procedural framework but also a high level of skill and experience. To meet the needs, this event provides a valuable platform for young and mid-level arbitration practitioners to learn from experienced arbitrators and judiciary officers. Sessions will focus on the growing role of arbitration in resolving complex disputes, particularly in the energy, construction, and commercial sectors.
This event will highlight both the advantages and challenges associated with using arbitration to address multifaceted disputes, examining how practitioners can strike a balance between procedural efficiency and the specialized expertise required in complex proceedings. Selected professionals will engage in dynamic discussions centered on the evolving role of arbitration, offering valuable perspectives and sharing best practices on how the field has adapted to meet the demands of specialized and complex sectors. In addition, the event will feature distinguished speakers from the judiciary and court-connected ADR centres, who will provide critical insights into the role of judicial innovation, court referrals, and multi-door processes in strengthening the effectiveness, credibility and accessibility of arbitration as a preferred method for resolving complex disputes.
