This webinar offers a succinct, forward-looking overview of the opportunities and challenges at the intersection of sustainability, technology, and international arbitration in Africa.

Objective

Africa’s green transition is rapidly gaining momentum as the continent invests in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, and climate-resilient technologies. With this growth comes an increase in complex commercial and environmental disputes, making international arbitration a key tool for ensuring the smooth delivery of green projects.

This webinar brings together experts in international arbitration, technology, and policy to explore how dispute-resolution mechanisms can support Africa’s sustainability agenda.

The discussion will examine the role of international arbitration in enabling Africa’s green-energy transition while highlighting new developments shaping the future of the field, including the integration of artificial intelligence and the emerging relevance of space law as Africa considers innovative solutions such as space mining to secure critical minerals for green technologies.

Designed for young practitioners, the session will provide practical guidance on building careers in international arbitration, offering clear strategies and insights to navigate emerging trends and position for future opportunities.
