ICC YAAF: Career in International Arbitration
Building a career in international arbitration is a goal for many young legal professionals, yet the pathway can often feel unclear. In this special session, ICC YAAF is honored to welcome two distinguished arbitration practitioners, Jasmine Ching-En Feng and Sinyee Ong, to share their invaluable insights and experiences.
Jasmine Ching-En Feng, a Taiwan-born arbitration expert and currently Deputy Counsel for the ICC International Court of Arbitration in the Singapore office (ICA11), will discuss her inspiring career journey across Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Jasmine will share how she first entered the field of international arbitration, the challenges and opportunities she encountered, and practical strategies for building expertise. She will also offer her perspectives on the unique challenges faced by young legal profeesionals in Taiwan and explore potential career pathways in international arbitration.
Sinyee Ong will draw on her extensive experience to offer practical career advice and valuable insights into succeeding in international arbitration. Having worked on complex disputes across industries such as construction, finance, hospitality, and technology, Sinyee has represented clients in proceedings under major arbitration institutions, including ICC, SIAC, AIAC, and SHIAC. With a career spanning Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, she will share her hands-on experience, key lessons from her professional journey, and strategies for building expertise. Sinyee will also explore the diverse opportunities available in international arbitration and offer guidance on navigating challenges and advancing in the field.
This event offers a unique opportunity for young legal professionals to learn directly from two experts who have built successful careers in international arbitration. Attendees will learn about the challenges and opportunities in international arbitration, potential career paths, and the practical steps needed to get started.
