ICC YAAF "Shaping the Future of Arbitration: Advocacy, Appointments & the Role of AI"
Join us for an exciting evening hosted by ICC YAAF which brings together leading arbitration practitioners to explore the evolving nature of the arbitration practice and the role of AI. This conference will feature a fireside chat with Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Chair of ICC’s Governing Body for Dispute Resolution Services, along with two engaging panel discussions on:
- Excelling as Counsel in Arbitration: Written and Oral Advocacy in the Age of AI
- Becoming and Being an Arbitrator: Lessons from Experience and Innovation
The first panel session will explore how young practitioners can hone their advocacy skills – both in written submissions and oral hearing – and include tips from seasoned professionals. The panel will also address how AI tools are reshaping legal research, drafting and case presentation. The second panel discussion will discuss about the strategies one should employ to secure their first appointment and also discuss the qualities of being a good arbitrator. The second panel will further delve into the evolving role of AI in case management, decision making and procedural conduct.
Whether you're an emerging practitioner or an experienced professional, this conference offers valuable insights into the future of arbitration and the skills needed to thrive in a changing legal landscape.
