The European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is one of the most significant developments in global trade, requiring that commodities like soy, palm oil, beef, coffee, cocoa, rubber, and wood sold in or exported from the EU market be proven deforestation-free.

As the EU strengthens its commitment to sustainability, staying compliant with the EUDR won’t just ensure your business meets legal requirements—it will provide you with a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving global market.

Why this workshop matters

This workshop, organised by the ICC Centre of Entrepreneurship, is specifically designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) understand the EUDR and how to leverage it for business success.

What you will learn:

  • Key Requirements and Developments of the EUDR: A comprehensive breakdown of the regulation, its recent developments, and how it will impact SMEs globally, especially those handling key commodities.

  • Compliance Tools & Strategies: Practical solutions, including the ITC Deforestation-Free Trade Gateway tool, to help SMEs navigate challenges including resource constraints, supply chain complexities, and traceability.

  • Real-World Examples: Insights into how small businesses, including those in the textile sector, can successfully meet EUDR requirements and turn compliance into a competitive advantage.

This workshop is part of the Sustainability Pathways Programme at the ICC Centre of Entrepreneurship, and builds upon previous EUDR training sessions with ICC-Agrifood and ITC.

The event will be held online, on Zoom. Please register using the guest checkout option by clicking the button on the right-hand side (recommeded), or by creating an account.

The workshop will be conducted in English, with simultaneous translation available in Spanish, French, and Arabic.
