International Arbitration for Corporates: Key Considerations and Recent Developments
This bespoke training will provide participants with practical insights into key considerations when choosing and using international arbitration in the context of banking, financing and commercial transactions. The session will also explore effective dispute resolution clauses and how choices made at the contracting stage can support the effective management of disputes arising from banking relationships, cross-border transactions and financial agreements.
The training will provide an overview of the ICC arbitration process, including the respective roles of the ICC Court, Secretariat and arbitral tribunal, while examining practical considerations around procedure, confidentiality, enforcement and the management of arbitration costs.
The session will also highlight selected developments introduced by the 2026 ICC Arbitration Rules and their practical implications for banks, financial institutions and in-house legal teams. It will conclude with an interactive discussion and Q&A, providing an opportunity to address issues relevant to the bank's business activities, risk management priorities and dispute resolution needs
