Emergency arbitration is increasingly recognised as a valuable mechanism for parties seeking urgent interim relief before the constitution of the arbitral tribunal. While widely adopted in institutional rules, its practical application continues to raise important questions of enforceability, efficiency, and strategy, particularly in emerging markets.

This ICC YAAF event in La Paz, organised in collaboration with the Young Bar Forum, will bring together experienced practitioners and younger voices to exchange perspectives on:

              • When and why to request emergency arbitration

              • The types of measures typically granted

              • Challenges of recognition and enforcement

              • Lessons for the use of emergency arbitration in Latin America and other emerging markets

Through interactive discussions and case-based insights, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges of emergency arbitration. The event will also provide a networking space to connect with peers and professionals shaping the future of arbitration in the region.

Participants are also encouraged to explore other ICC YAAF initiatives worldwide at: https://iccwbo.org/dispute-resolution/young-arbitrators-forum-yaaf/
