ICC YAAF: The Effectiveness of International Arbitration in Corporate Disputes
Join us for an insightful discussion on how international arbitration contributes to the effective resolution of corporate disputes, focusing on practical techniques, strategic decision-making, and key procedural elements that influence outcomes.
Objective
International arbitration continues to play a central role in resolving complex corporate disputes, offering neutrality, enforceability, and procedural adaptability for cross‑border transactions. Yet young practitioners navigating corporate disputes often face uncertainty in understanding how strategic decisions from clause drafting to procedural structuring shape the outcome of an arbitration. This conference offers a practical exploration of how effective, well‑designed strategies strengthen dispute resolution in corporate contexts.
Through a practitioner‑focused discussion, the session will examine key elements of international arbitration strategy, including case framing, tribunal selection, multi‑party and multi‑contract considerations, evidentiary management, and the handling of corporate‑specific issues such as valuation claims, warranty disputes, and post‑closing obligations. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how strategic choices at each stage of the arbitration process can enhance procedural efficiency and support successful outcomes.
Beyond the substantive discussion, this ICC YAAF event offers an opportunity for young and mid-level practitioners to exchange perspectives, build professional networks, and broaden their exposure to international arbitration practice. The session encourages practical engagement and peer learning across jurisdictions.
