Evidence plays a pivotal role in shaping the outcome of any arbitration. Understanding how to gather, present, challenge, and evaluate evidence is a core skill for any arbitration advocate or arbitrator. This ICC YAAF event will bring together experienced practitioners to demystify evidentiary procedures, share techniques on document production, witness testimony, and expert evidence, and examine current best practices under leading institutional rules such as the ICC Rules of Arbitration and the IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Arbitration.

This event will also cover new trends including digital evidence, remote witness examination, and the interplay between civil and common law evidentiary approaches.

The Masterclass is aimed at the following objectives:

  1. To provide participants with practical insights into evidentiary strategies in international arbitration.
  2. To discuss the application of the IBA Rules and institutional approaches to evidence.
  3. To demonstrate advocacy techniques in handling documentary, witness, and expert evidence.
