ICC YAAF: Persuasion in the Room and on the Page
What persuades third-party neutrals on paper and beyond?
In the spirit of the International Women’s Day 2026, this ICC YAAF session explores advocacy skills that matter most in arbitration from persuasive written submissions to influencing outcomes in the room.
The session will delve into written and oral advocacy aspects, strategic communication, and professional conduct throughout arbitral proceedings. Through an informal and interactive conversation format with member of Judiciary and esteemed arbitrators, the Speakers will share insights on what persuades them as decision-makers in deciding one's case, common advocacy pitfalls they often see, and how practitioners can refine their approach both on paper and in person. The session concludes with Iftar dinner where the attendees will have the chance to mingle and network.
