ICC YAAF: Persuasion and Influence in International Arbitration
Join us for an ICC YAAF session on persuasion and influence in international arbitration, held at the occasion of Vis Moot Fall Bootcamp 2026.
This ICC YAAF event will focus on effective oral advocacy and the process of developing effective strategies and preparing to advocate persuasively. Drawing on practical experience, psychology and cognitive science, the speakers will explore the mechanisms of persuasion and influence in international arbitration.
The discussion will consider how cognitive biases and other aspects of human decision-making may affect the way arbitral tribunals receive and assess arguments and evidence, and how counsel can recognise and address these factors in practice.
Venue: SWPS University in Warsaw, Conference Room S304 (3rd floor), Chodakowska 19/31, 03-815 Warsaw, Poland.

At ICC, we believe that through training and mentorship, we can shape the next generation of leading international arbitration and ADR experts. Through the ICC Young Arbitration and ADR Forum (YAAF) network, we are able to better inform, connect and inspire young professionals with interests in dispute resolution and dispute avoidance.
Throughout the world, ICC YAAF organises a number of educational and social events that allow young professionals to discover best practices, discuss topical issues, network and create meaningful connections with experienced practitioners.
