ICC YAAF: Arbitrating Defence and Cybersecurity Disputes in Times of Rising Geopolitical Tensions
Join us for a lively ICC YAAF discussion on arbitration of disputes arising in the defence and cybersecurity sectors, followed by a luncheon.
This ICC YAAF session offers an opportunity to explore issues concerning defence and cybersecurity disputes, including the suitability of arbitration as a mechanism for resolving such matters, often of strategic importance and involving national security implications. The discussion will be set in the context of rising geopolitical tensions, increased defence spending, rapid technological innovation, and mounting pressures on supply chains. The speakers will examine current trends and typical categories of disputes in this field, as well as factual scenarios that frequently give rise to them. They will also provide practical recommendations for industry stakeholders and contractors, as well as counsel and arbitrators involved in resolving such disputes, taking into account political shifts, regulatory constraints, national security concerns, commercial interests, and the sensitivity of the information involved.
Registration for the event closes on 23 June 2026.
Venue: Hannes Snellman Attorneys Ltd, Eteläesplanadi 20, 00130 / 00131 Helsinki, Finland
