Global Launch: ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR Report 'The Corruption Inquiry'
Join us for the global launch of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR’s latest report, The Corruption Inquiry: Addressing Issues of Corruption in International Arbitration (“The Corruption Inquiry”).
The Corruption Inquiry: The Report provides guidance for arbitral tribunals on how to address issues of corruption in arbitration and provides a practical framework to assist tribunals when such issues arise. Structured around three stages, the Corruption Inquiry is intended to be a living resource from which arbitral tribunals can draw guidance and inspiration when faced with issues of corruption, tailoring it in a way that suits the disputes before them. It is anticipated that the Corruption Inquiry will expand and adapt to the evolving realities of arbitral practice and as such it is also intended to reach the broader arbitration community, including the parties, counsel, and national courts faced with corruption.
Supplementary Documents: The Report is complemented by a series of supplementary documents exploring key issues, including the burden and standard of proof, red flags and other indicators of corruption and parallel corruption court proceedings.
The Corruption Inquiry together with its Supplementary Documents will be published in a special edition of the ICC DRS Bulletin.
