Expedited Arbitration: Key Challenges and Best Practices
Expedited arbitration has gained traction as a preferred method for those seeking a swift, cost-effective, and flexible resolution to disputes. As the use of expedited arbitration expands beyond low-value disputes, arbitrators, counsel, and parties are faced with practical questions regarding how best to manage proceedings and address challenges that arise.
Join us during New York Arbitration Week for an interactive session that will draw on the findings and recommendations of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR’s recent Expedited Procedure Provisions – Eight Years On report and Toolkit for Arbitrators in Expedited Procedure. Through a series of hypothetical scenarios inspired by issues identified in the Report and Toolkit, panelists will explore key tensions that can emerge in expedited proceedings and share best practices for structuring and managing expedited proceedings effectively. Audience members will be invited to engage with these scenarios and consider how they would respond to a range of real-world situations.
Venue: Crowell and Moring, Two Manhattan West, 375 9th Ave, New York, NY 10001
